DICT joins the Campaign to End Violence Against Women (VAW) #VAWFreeDICT

Pursuant to Presidential Proclamation No. 224 and 227 and Republic Act No. 6489, the Department of Information and Communications Technology joins the nation within the annual observance of the 18-Day Campaign to End Violence Against Women (VAW) on November 25 to December 12.

The End VAW marketing campaign is spearheaded by the Philippine Commission on Women (PCW).

The theme of the marketing campaign is ‘VAW-Free Community Starts with Me” to give emphasis on everyone’s dedication and contributions in ending VAW and to proceed our pursuit on our widespread imaginative and prescient of a VAW-free neighborhood.  Specifically, the marketing campaign has the next goals:

Increase public consciousness on VAW and the imaginative and prescient of making VAW-free communities by numerous actions;
Present an excellent image of a VAW-free neighborhood, thereby inspiring most of the people to make a private dedication to finish violence in opposition to girls and youngsters;
Highlight what every particular person or sector can do in selling VAW-FREE communities ; and
Forge partnerships with each non-public and public sector in advocating for a VAW-free neighborhood.
All DICT workers are enjoined to take part within the end result program on Thursday, 13 December 2018, 1300-1700 on the DICT-AVR. This exercise is a joint effort of the Gender and Development Team and the Cybersecurity Bureau. #VAWFreeDICT
