Silcafe and Kick-start: Finding new direction in coffee

As a younger boy from Silang, Cavite, Michael Poblete Asuncion watched his father Enrile promote freshly roasted espresso to cafés, eating places, and places of work. His father, who made the model Silcafe within the 1990s, served as his inspiration early on. Like Enrile, he has all the time believed within the potential of Philippine espresso.
